The Caveau de l’Ami Fritz has recently undergone a careful restoration while respecting traditional Alsatian architecture. It will introduce you to the warmth and nobility of wood combined with the Vosges sandstone. In 1975, Marc Hassé acquired these dilapidated houses. Awarded in 1986 with the national prize for endangered masterpieces and the Golden Pretzel for architecture, this district has become an essential stop during your visit to the Cité des Ménétriers.

Typical Alsatian place, quiet.
The owner is like I like them, she doesn’t have her tongue in her pocket and won’t bend you over backwards, which doesn’t take anything away from her friendliness, you can feel that she knows how to run her business, an iron fist in a velvet glove, the setting is very nice, as are the staff, we were here for 1 w.e. with a friend, and we had breakfast, which was copious and very good.

We loved this restaurant, which we visited several times during our stay. We were not staying at this hotel and discovered it by chance. The staff and the owner are adorable. The dishes are very good and the value for money is really top-notch… I recommend the duck breast, you won’t be disappointed by the quality and quantity served 😁 and the onion soup is a REGAL!
We had dinner one evening in Ribeauvillé and wanted to come back the next day.
The menu included a succulent tarte flambée + salad and a good dessert, all accompanied by a good pinot gris.

Magnificent restaurant
As a local, we’re wary of touristy restaurants. This was a very pleasant surprise. Liver dumplings very well received, gourmet. Salad served very well, with just the right seasoning. Blueberry tart with whipped cream, well garnished. All very reasonably priced (and served at 2:30pm). It’s all good for me
